I'm sorry for your loss. Rope is a lot of fun, and not terribly difficult. But some of the things you can't really practice on yourself.

On the other hand, a two-column and a one-column tie are pretty easy, you can do them to yourself with some practice, and using that methodology you could learn... and then you'd be in a position to partially tie yourself for her amusement.

Thanks for the advice, but there's *no way* Belle'll let me tie her up. Just never going to happen. Since I wrote this, we've used cuffs and straps, but not rope. Alas.

I'm glad I came across this list of posts about specific things to do and try. It's a lot more useful to me and my love, given that I'm usually the Dom in our relationship, but most of the traditional femdom stuff leaves me cold.

With regard to bondage, though, I strongly recommend that YOU go out and buy a book - Jay Wiseman's erotic bondage handbook, or Two Knotty Boys Show You the Ropes, or Chanta Rose's Bondage for Sex — and learn all the basic ties and some advanced ones that intrigue you, first. You can get rope at home depot, or blow a fortune at twisted monk.com.

"but I'm trying to be the sub here!" you might say. And I'd say, sure... But how's that project to get your wife more skilled than a Boy Scout coming along?

My point is, My love didn't tie me up until after I tied her and showed her how much fun it could be. She's not fluent at it like I am, but she's learning because I am.

Maybe frame it the way you framed the issue of chastity to your wife. "this turns me on and I'd like to learn this for us... With your permission?" if she says yes, then you learn the skill, demo it for her, and tutor her in how to control you more thoroughly.

If she denies you, then you have to wait until she learns for herself or she consents to let you learn. Either way, she's in charge.
