Yeah, and I use my blog in the same way – to let Joscelin know how I feel about things in a more thorough and honest way than I can manage in person. He handles it really well even when the information is bad.

When he tries to do the same thing with his blog I tend to freak right the fuck out, unfortunately!

I love that my wife reads my blog, it makes it much easier to explain to her where my head is at without having to try to find words while she’s teasing the hell out of me! She’s pointed out to me before that I don’t think so well with all the blood in one area of the body, it’s nice to be able to see what I’m thinking when she reads the blog later (after bloodflow has returned to its normal place).

I think writing in general (and blogging specifically) is a good way to identify how you’re feeling for your partner where it may not always be as easy to find the words when you are on the spot.

In the same “cowardly” way you use IM to tell Jos something you could have said to his face moments ago, I use this blog to help organize my thoughts and communicate to her my perspective, even though I see her every day. It’s…easier.

I can’t even *imagine* doing this without her reading it…
